Sunny rest resort reviews1/3/2024 Sunday morning found us getting ready for a 7k trail run that benefited cancer and was attended by mostly naked people. We stayed naked for the rest of the day Saturday down by the pool and put shirts on later in the evening to go back to Flashers. Saturday we started with a hike on the trails and again, it was chilly so we left with shirts and shoes on.and came back with just shoes on. Our venture into Flashers later was fun as the bar and dance floor were filled with friendly folks in various states of undress. It was chilly when we arrived on Friday evening so most people were clothed at the Streakers bar. That includes the desk help, grounds people, bartenders, the entire staff! The guests were also most helpful and we talked to quite a few folks, both those who come for weekends and those who have permanent places on the grounds. What we did find was a helpful, friendly staff that went out of their way to help us with whatever we needed. We did read reviews before going and found none of the drug use or open sexual encounter that we were warned about in some of the reviews. The resort is clothing optional so we were a bit apprehensive as to what we may run across. We ventured out of our regular normal life for a weekend of camping and trail running at the Sunny Rest Resort. Now that we've found Sunny Rest, we'll be back for sure. Check-in is 4 pm, but you can enter the resort as early as 8 am. We enjoyed just sitting poolside reading and chatting with some of the other guests - there are plenty of spaces in the sun and under cover. Many activities if you're someone who can't sit still - daily volleyball, recorded music at the pool for much of the day - decent selection, then karaoke, which as anyplace can range from really quite good to "I wish we had a hook". Staff is friendly, helpful and seem to enjoy what they do. And unless you really like butter, better to ask for plain toast. Wife had great pancakes, my omelet was slightly oily for my taste. Breakfast included if you stay on site - generous and well prepared. No daily room service, but I'm sure you could get extra soap, coffee or whatever if needed. the resort is hilly - great fun if you like to walk the roads and paths, or the well-marked one-mile nature trail. Wi-fi is extra - about $3.50 a day, and sometimes sluggish. Well maintained, comfy firm mattress and new pillows. Our room was delightful - cozy (smallish, but not cramped - besides you'll be outside most of the time!). For the shy-at-heart, it's "clothing optional" - nudity only required in the big pool, conversation pool and hot tub.But I bet the water is so tempting that you'll soon shed your clothing and inhibitions. nudist resort, this is a great place to start. If you've ever thought about staying at a U.S.
